Our Story

Built on Integrity, Driven by Results.

Rebecca Kirkland Halberg is a workers’ compensation attorney who represents injured workers across Georgia. A former insurance defense lawyer, she brings a powerful advantage to her clients—an insider’s understanding of how employers and insurance companies evaluate, delay, and defend claims.

With more than 20 years of experience, Rebecca has handled every stage of the workers’ compensation process, including litigation, hearings, appeals, and complex settlement negotiations. She began her career representing employers and insurers, and she later served as a shareholder and chair of a workers’ compensation practice group at a defense firm in Columbia, South Carolina.

After relocating to Atlanta in 2014, Rebecca made the deliberate decision to shift her practice to represent injured workers and their families. Today, she focuses exclusively on helping clients secure the medical treatment and financial benefits they need after a serious work-related injury or death. Her defense background allows her to anticipate obstacles before they arise, move cases forward efficiently, and position her clients for the strongest possible outcome—whether through settlement or trial. Rebecca has a particular focus on work-related auto accident cases, where strategic coordination between workers’ compensation and third-party claims can significantly increase overall recovery.

She remains actively involved in improving workers’ compensation law in Georgia, serving on the Legislative Committee of the Chairman’s Advisory Council. She also serves as the Treasurer of Workers’ Compensation Claimants’ Lawyers (WCCL), a section of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. She recently became Vice President of Kids’ Chance of Georgia, which is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to the children of seriously injured and deceased workers.

Rebecca earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her law degree from the University of South Carolina. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2019 and holds a top rating on Avvo.
